Our
Operations

Sahara Mining’s operations in Sudan, specifically in the River State region, are pivotal in tapping into the country’s extensive mineral resources. These efforts drive economic growth and advance mining technologies. The company is committed to creating skilled job opportunities, fostering technological progress in the region, and setting high standards for responsible resource extraction.
Our mining processes in this region utilize three methods: Carbon-in-Leach (CIL), Carbon-in-Column (CIC)/Heap Leaching, and Vat Leaching.
CIL
Sahara Mining’s advanced gold ore processing project is renowned for its high extraction rate and exceptional efficiency. With an impressive recovery rate of up to 95%, the project ensures maximum yield from gold ores, significantly reducing waste and enhancing profitability. The state-of-the-art facility is capable of processing approximately 500 tons of ore daily, demonstrating its robust operational capacity. This high throughput not only boosts production levels but also ensures a steady supply of gold, meeting market demands effectively. Sahara Mining’s CIL technology and efficient processes makes Sahara Mining a leader in the gold mining industry, delivering consistent and reliable results.
The Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) process is a cornerstone of gold extraction in the mining industry. This method involves the continuous leaching of gold from ore into a solution, followed by counter-current adsorption of the gold onto carbon particles, all conducted within a series of interconnected tanks.

CIL Heap
Sahara Mining’s efficient and cost-effective HEAP processing project has a recovery rate of 70% while significantly reducing production cost. The process is a cost-effective technology for extracting gold from low-grade ores. It is primarily employed to recover gold from low-grade ores, surface ores, historical waste rock piles, and old tailings.
